February 2022: Office for Veterans Affairs conference:

Unable to attend owning to having Covid, but research poster was still shared at the conference.

March 2022: Veterans Mental Health Conference 2022:

Held at the Royal College of Psychiatrists. Presentation title: ‘The impact of time and mental health on service personnel who served on Operation Herrick, an oral history.’

October 2022: British Commission for Military History early career researchers conference:

Held at Salford University. Paper title: ‘He never talked about it’ – the reticent veteran through time.

October 2022: Imperial War Museum induction for new students:

Held in the IWM. Presentation given to new students on my PhD research and what they can expect from their first year.

November 2022: Military Intelligence: British and American perspectives:

Held at King’s College London. Chaired a panel event with two military professionals discussing military intelligence under Chatham House rules.

2021

I began my PhD in October 2021 so had not yet presented at any conferences.

2023

February 2023: Guest lecture at King’s College London

Held at King’s College London. I gave a lecture to the students as part of their full-year BA War studies Course on intelligence ethics. Lecture title: ‘Ethical Intelligence: is there such a thing?

April 2023: ‘Just Georgians: Sex and Scandal’

Held at Historic Royal Palaces. Presentation (derived from MA final project) given to the education team on Georgian women to inform on diverse histories of the past.

May 2023: ‘Homecoming’ after War: Comparative and Interdisciplinary Perspectives

Held at Warwick University. Paper title: “He never talked about it” The reticent veteran, has anything changed?

June 2023: Oral History Society conference: ‘Making Histories Together’

Held at Nottingham Trent University. Paper title: ‘A picture is worth a thousand feelings’ Accessing military mental health.

July 2023: ‘social media audit’

Held at Historic Royal Palaces. Presentation given to social media team on the current literature in the field and primary quantitive data of six competitors to see what they are doing to inform future policy.

October 2023: British Commission for Military History early career researchers conference:
