Chloe Storer
Welcome to my website!
I am a public Historian, presenter, and academic.
I am a final PhD student at Kings College London and Imperial War Museums. My current title is: After Afghanistan: narratives of Operation Herrick told over time.
I was awarded CDP funding for my PhD. The Collaborative Doctoral Partnerships (CDP) scheme offers fully funded studentships towards a Doctoral degree. Successful candidates are jointly supervised by subject specialists at a Higher Education Institute (HEI) and one of the 25 museums, libraries, archives, or heritage organisations that make up the CDP Consortium. In this case, Kings College London, and Imperial War Museums (IWM). I have since undertaken two placements, one at Historic Royal Palaces, and one at History Hit. I also teach alongside my PhD at King’s College London and Royal Holloway, University of London. I am a recognized Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA).
I was awarded the Herringham scholarship for my MA, having achieved a first-class degree in History. I hold a distinction level Master’s in Public History, and my final project can be viewed at: Just Georgians. I am always eager to be involved in projects and broaden my skills as a public historian. In the past, I have interned with a HLF project, volunteered in a museum and archive setting, volunteered in a school and also undertaken work experience in television.
My historical interests include social and cultural history. I currently specialise in the history and experience of Warfare, however I would consider myself historically promiscuous as I have an interest in most history. I am an experienced oral historian, working both on my PhD and a new project LOUD Fence which explores child sexual assault and the church.
I am always looking for more projects to be involved in, feel free to contact me:
